2-Hour Husky Safari

We start out from the home of the Arctic dogs and take you out into the forest. Once in a while we stop off to change over drivers and take photos. After the safari, we enjoy a warm drink in a log cabin while the guide tells us some amazing stories about huskies and their lives.

4-Hour Husky Safari

This adventure takes you ever deeper into the wilderness until it’s time to stop for lunch. Food tastes best when you eat it outside round a campfire. Then we return to our husky farm where we sit down for a while to enjoy some pancakes and coffee as we chat with the guide who tells us more about huskies.

All Day Husky Safari

Spend an entire day driving a dog team and enjoying the peace of the wilderness! After you have learnt to drive and met your husky team, it’s time to set out on an adventure. There are several stops on the safari, and we enjoy a delicious lunch over a campfire in the middle of the forest. You get a certificate as a souvenir of your fantastic adventure to round off your day.

Not recommended for children due to the length of the programme and possible severe weather conditions.

Arctic Animals

A husky and reindeer ride on the same safari! First, the dog team takes us through the forest to a reindeer farm where we change over to a different kind of four-wheel drive: a reindeer. We enjoy a light lunch at the farm. After the drive, you get to join in a Lappish ceremony and receive your reindeer driving licence.

Programme prices include

• Transport from your hotel to the husky farm and back.
• Transport to the husky farm and back from Rovaniemi city centre, Lapland Hotel Sky Ounasvaara and Ounasvaara Pirtti.
• Your chosen programme, a visit to our husky farm and learning to drive a husky team and safety instruction
• We’ll fit you out with warm overalls, boots, woollen socks, headwear and gloves
• A warm drink
• Two people/team, everyone gets to drive; 1 person/team on all day safaris

Children

Children 4-14 years old receive 25% discount; children less than 4 years old free of charge. We do not recommend you take children under four years of age on a safari in cold weather. For reasons of safety, children can ride with a team driven by a guide.
